Nidaime Seijo wa Tatakawanai

Meril Klein, born to the renowned demon exorcist known as the "Holy Saint," was always hailed as the "Holy Saint's successor" and the "strongest of the next generation" since her childhood. Growing up in this prestigious environment, Meril developed an arrogant and self-conceited personality. However, her first mission, facing a man-eating demon, shattered her illusions of power. She questioned herself, "Do I possess any strength at all?"

In the dire situation of facing off against the demon, Meril found a glimmer of hope in the demon’s words: "I haven't killed anyone."

"If that's true, then I will prove your innocence!"

The realization that the demon hadn't committed a sin changed the course of their encounter. Initially just a ploy to delay the inevitable confrontation, this desperate declaration significantly altered Meril's destiny.
