She was born in Tokyo in 1972, and moved to Ibaraki Prefecture when she was 3 years old. She attended Tokyo Junshin Women's Junior College (now Tokyo Junshin University), where she studied to become a mangaka.
Ruu Tatsuki and Yuna Kagezaki are longtime friends. She loves cats and had a cat with cow-print named 'moo-tan'. She made a manga about him: Sonna! Moo-tan. Her main series is Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki. She still makes cat-themed manga today. She also designs tarot cards (obviously cat-themed).
