At eighteen, every woman is required to make a "Choice." Course I: remain physically eighteen, preserving both youth and beauty, but live only until forty-five. Course II: age naturally, as people always have, and live to around ninety.

Satsuki, the daughter of an actress who became the very embodiment of Course I, dreams of becoming an actress herself. Her best friend Riri dreams of becoming an idol.
