Sherry Tachibana

Sherry Tachibana is a 15-year-old girl and one of the prisoners in Mahou Shoujo no Majo Saiban. Always cheerful and smiling, she speaks politely and has a carefree, whimsical personality. Her unusual behavior earned her the derogatory nickname "Fairy" at school.

Sherry considers herself a great detective and has a strong passion for mysteries and deduction. Extremely curious, she immediately pursues anything that catches her interest without worrying about what other people think. She once exposed a group of bullies in order to help a classmate and came to believe that detective work was her true calling.

Although friendly and energetic, Sherry has great difficulty reading the room and understanding the feelings of others. She displays an unusual lack of conventional morality and can remain cheerful even in situations that others find disturbing. Her dream is to become a detective and brilliantly solve murder cases.

Sherry possesses Superhuman Strength magic. Her ability greatly enhances her physical strength, allowing her to perform feats far beyond those of an ordinary person, such as crushing an apple with one hand.

Sherry spent part of her childhood in an orphanage, where she was repeatedly abused by members of the staff. In order to endure the pain, she gradually learned to suppress her own negative emotions.

One day, Sherry retaliated against an abusive staff member by striking them. Her magic manifested unexpectedly, causing her enhanced strength to kill the person. Frightened by what she had done and unable to properly process her emotions, Sherry began distancing herself from her own pain and humanity.

She was later adopted and attempted to behave as the cheerful, well-adjusted "good girl" that the people around her expected. However, her childhood experiences left her with great difficulty recognizing and understanding both her own emotions and those of other people. Sherry consequently came to regard herself as someone incapable of normal human feelings, despite continuing to form genuine attachments to others.
